I really thought I could keep freelancing like usual after becoming a first-time mom—but wow, did that reality hit me fast. There’s so much I could say about that journey, but I’ll keep it short for now.
Motherhood changed me in ways I didn’t expect. Art was no longer a priority—my little family and just getting enough sleep became my focus. Art had to fit into whatever little pockets of time I had left.
Before Cloud, I could spend hours obsessing over every detail. But once I became a mom, I didn’t have hours anymore. I still needed to create, though, so I started drawing just to get it out of my system. No overthinking. No endless refining. Just creating for the sake of it. And over time, that raw, fast, sketch-like style became mine.
What started as a way to keep making art turned into something I became passionate about. That messy, ink-like style became my signature—and somewhere along the way, I created Rin. Her monochrome look is a reflection of those late-night sketches I used to sneak in whenever I could.
Rin isn’t just a character—she’s the start of something bigger. She’s the first in GROWL, my toy line dedicated to bringing my art to life in ways I never imagined. It’s my way of turning those late-night sketches into something tangible, something real.
